Worker’s Compensation / MVA Claims

What we do

Our Exercise Physiologists specialise in providing injury rehabilitation for people with a Workers Compensation Claim or Motor Vehicle Accident claim.

We work collaboratively with the client, GP and other health professionals to support recovery, enhance wellbeing and assist in a safe return to work and return to full functional capacity.

How we help

  • Injury-specific rehabilitation programs: We work closely with clients to tailor exercises specific to their injury, work goals and needs. We help improve strength, mobility, and physical function to regain confidence and ability to return to work.
  • Pain Management: Evidence shows that exercise is an effective way to manage chronic pain. We design a safe and effective exercise program to assist in a return to full function.
  • Mental health: Injuries can take a toll on mental health, which can be a barrier to returning to work. Tailored, evidence-based exercise programs help improve mental health, confidence and return to pre-injury ability.
  • Education & long-term management: We provide education and help clients understand their injury and how to manage it. We provide the tools to self-manage the program to reduce the risk of re-injury in the future.

The process

Initial Assessment

A comprehensive assessment is completed to assess your injury, physical function, range of motion and goals.

Treatment management plan & request

We work collaboratively with you to create a treatment plan based on your goals and job demands to support your recovery. We will discuss your preference for completing a home-based, gym or pool-based program. We will send this plan to the insurance company and request sessions (usually 8-10 sessions) for approval.

Commence exercise physiology sessions

Once approved, exercise physiology sessions can commence. Our exercise physiologists will organise any gym/pool membership or equipment required.

Progress Assessment

After completing the block of pre-approved sessions, an assessment is completed to review your progress and goals. We will communicate with your GP and relevant parties to keep them updated on your progress. We will request further sessions from the insurance company to continue exercise physiology treatment if required.

What is required?

Referral from the GP, specialist or insurer is required for Exercise Physiology services.
